The August Kesseler estate stands for an equal cooperation within the team, everyone having his or her specific expertise. Therefore it is no surprise that we all enjoy our job. We belong together and always pull together, if necessary at every day- and night-time, and also during the weekends. Our customers appreciate this, as they always find a good-humoured, friendly contact person, and a wine being produced with so much care and competence, that it has been reliably belonging to the German top-products for years.
August Kesseler Being experienced in wine production, he co-ordinates his team. If he is not found in the vineyard or the cellar, he is most certainly with one of his personal customers – world-wide. “I’m a blooded winegrower! Being so convinced by the quality of our team work, I really enjoy being with my customers, be they in New York, London or Frankfurt.” Beate Kesseler She is the solicitor of the company. This sounds dry, but it is not: she is mainly the “good soul” of the team – always present when someone needs her. And she cares that the estate’s ambiance is inviting and comfortable. “For me, most it is important that our customers feel welcomed as our personal guests.” Tina Elliger She is August Kesseler’s longtime assistant. She knows everything about the company, and is always available to answer questions – both for team colleagues and customers. “Our customers immediately feel the positive atmosphere within our estate.” Max Himstedt This bio-chemist and viticultural engineer loves being in the vineyard. If he is not there, he can be found in the cellar. The vinification of Pinot Noirs and noble-sweet wines are his strength. “I live for the wine; I’m almost quality-obsessed. I think this can be seen in our wines.” Endre Kása Together with Max Himstedt he is taking care for the vineyards and in the cellar he is busy with our wines. Here his focus is on our white wines. On his way home from Assmannshausen to Lorch he does not drive the fast way alongside the Rhine but takes the small roades through the vineyards. Why? Because he loves the wine and the vines and just enjoys the daily turn through the vineyards. Frank Maas Our “north-star” from Hamburg is working for over ten years in the wine-business. As a member of the Hanseatic League it befits that he is selling. And that is what he does for us: The sales. His competence in wine has been developed during his ten years in the wine-business and was proofed in 2006 when he became a holder of the Diploma of the Wines and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Nevertheless he is still eager to learn more about wine and he does not miss a chance to discuss with Max, Endre and August Kesseler about the wine-cosmos.
